Same Cooperative Traditions...Same tuition cost...
New Montessori Methods, Multi-aged classrooms and class options!

The Co-Op is going Montessori!

We are in the process of transitioning to becoming a Montessori school! Our teacher, Miss Lindsi is working on her Montessori Certification through the Buffalo Montessori Teacher Education Program. We are beginning to incorporate this wonderful philosophy to our curriculum.

We are very thankful to the Eden Community Foundation for approving our grant to purchase the needed Montessori Materials for our classroom.

As part of our transition, we will be making the following changes for 2010-2011 School year

- Multi-aged Classrooms- There are many benefits to a multi-aged classroom. Our three's and four's will be able to register for ANY class option.

- Class Times- We will have the following four options for students
            Option 1- Mon/Wed/Fri 9:00-11:30
            Option 2- Mon/Wed/Fri 12:15-2:45
            Option 3- Tuesday/Thursday 9:00-11:30
            Option 4- Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri 9:00-11:30

- Material Makeover- Your children will be exposed to Montessori materials and individual lessons.

We will be hosting Parent Information nights throughout the year.

but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity,
he will continue the learning process as long as he lives."

Flamingo Flocking has begun at the Eden Co-op!

You may begin to notice that flocks of plastic pink flamingos keep popping up on lawns throughout the Eden community.  It's not a figment of your imagination, rather, it's our newest fundraiser.  We're attempting to stir up excitement in our community.  If the flock mysteriously appears in your yard, you'll have several removal options to choose from...one of them even includes sending the flamingos to their next yard.  In addition, you may purchase an insurance policy stating that the birds will not return to your yard for the remainder the 09-10 school year.  They've already been spotted by local bird watchers on East Church and the corner of Sission Hwy. and North Boston.  Keep  your eyes open!
